For the period to 31 March 2023 legalsuper’s MySuper Balanced option, where the majority of members are invested, recorded a positive return of 1.03%.

In addition to producing positive returns during sustained market volatility, this result continues legalsuper’s strong record of outperformance, with our MySuper Balanced option outperforming the SuperRatings all-fund median over 3, 5, 7 and 10 years.

Importantly, as the dedicated super fund for Australia’s legal community, we see as another important performance metric, the growth in membership numbers – both individually and via legal firms selecting legalsuper as their default fund – and to that end, we are pleased to report that a further 14 Australian law firms joined our fund in the period to 31 March 2023.

Through increasing our engagement with firms we are able to better support them to meet their compliance obligations, while offering employees direct access to workplace seminars and one-on-one consultations as part of our mission to deliver high quality member service and strong investment returns.

And we believe the growing number of Australian law firms actively appointing legalsuper as their default superannuation fund is strong validation of our strategy to remain a specialised super fund dedicated to the legal community.
